加州大学圣克鲁兹分校研究生部（Graduate Divsion）规定的的国内学生的最低申请要求如下：
正规四年制大学本科毕业，并取得学士学位
GPA要求：加州大学圣克鲁兹分校研究生部未设定最低GPA分数要求
TOEFL：要求不低于83分， IELTS要求不低于7.0，均无单项要求；化学与生物化学、计算机工程、计算机科学、以及电气工程四个专业还要求TOEFL成绩不低于89，这四个专业的IELTS要求仍然为7.0分。此外，欲申请TA奖学金的学生，还要求TOEFL口语不低于26分，IELTS口语不低于8.0分

费用与奖学金
加州大学圣克鲁兹分校只向国际学生提供Merit-based奖学金，其形式包括Fellowship、TA和RA三种。国际学生的奖学金主要由系里发放，国际学生在申请时应主动与系里的导师或招生办联系，以期获得奖学金。一般来说该校的PhD学生均可以获得一定形式的奖学金，包括Fellowship、TA和RA等；硕士学生一般需要自费，但仍然有一些资源是可以提供给硕士学生的。另需要注意的是，TA奖学金要求申请者的TOEFL口语不低于26分，或IELTS口语不低于8.0分。
